Quality music lessons your way.

At BPM Music we take teaching music very seriously, but we also ensure that each student is safe, comfortable and has fun!

All of our music lessons are private and are taught by trained professionals with years of experience teaching students and performing in the music industry.

Our lessons are designed with each student in mind. A plan is made focussing on each student’s own particular needs and is modified as the student progresses and changes become necessary.

Beyond weekly lessons, we also offer ‘next-level’ opportunities such as weekly rock-styled band lessons and choirs, on-site rehearsal and recording facilities, regular live performances and more!

Piano / Keyboards

Piano has long been deemed the ‘master instrument,’ and indeed is a great way to introduce the joy of music to new musicians! Whether new, experienced or a seasoned player, we have the instructor for you!

Guitar (All Styles)

Since 2008 guitar has by far been one of our most popular classes!  Affordable, easy to transport and store, fun to learn and play! BPM’s guitar instructors are all industry professionals and have been teaching for decades.

Vocals / Singing

Have you got the music in you? Love to sing your favourite songs? Always finding yourself singing those annoying radio and tv jingles? Well maybe vocal lessons are for you! BPM’s vocal instructors are fun, engaging, and most of all very patient and quite happy to hear you sing!

Drums / Percussion

Who hasn’t air-drummed the big fill in Phil Collin’s “In The Air Tonight?” Drum lessons are not only loads of fun but great exercise too!  BPM’s drums lessons are located in our custom-built recording studio, isolated from the rest of the school so our students can make as much music as they’d like without the fear of bothering anyone!

Bass Guitar

Often overlooked and more often under appreciated, bass guitar is the element of a song that holds everything together and gives the band their overall ‘feel’!  From Blues to Jazz, RnB to Rock N Roll, the bass has been instrumental in helping define musical genres.

Ukulele

Brought to us from Hawaii, the ukulele is an affordable, portable and fun instrument that is very easy for students of all ages to learn!

Digital Music

Digital music is quickly becoming one of the more popular means of designing and recording contemporary music. With instruction specific to particular software, DAW and digital instruments, BPM’s recording engineers are ready to help you!

Recording

Ever wonder how music is recorded? Maybe you have a small project studio at home and you want to sharpen your skills? BPM’s recording teaching facility is designed with the student in mind. From mic technique to understanding room design, getting that perfect kick drum sound to adding vocals to your favourite beat.

Band Production

You’ve done the work - you’ve practiced your instrument, bought the gear and developed a repertoire… so now what?

Band lessons are not only a great way to put your work into practice, but a chance to meet weekly with like-minded musicians working together with the ultimate goal of performing live!

Moe’s Rock Choir

Two Words… Bohemian Rhapsody

BPM vocal instructor Maureen Leeson (a.k.a. Moe) conducts a weekly drop-in Rock Choir where closet vocalists and seasoned singers join forces to perform live as a group as well as support for BPM Band Lesson bands!
